Profhilo Skin Booster Treatment

The treatment Profhilo is a form of ultra-pure hyaluronic acid to stimulate the production of Collagen and Elastin, attracting water to the deeper layers of the skin.

Profhilo® is a non-surgical aesthetics treatment, which comprises a unique patented formula hyaluronic acid. This stimulation results in significant tissue improvement, tightening and lifting effect on the tissue.

Profhilo is ideal for treating fine lines and wrinkles; acne scarring; loss of skin tone, sagging, skin creepiness; loss of skin hydration; and skin ageing.

Profhilo treatment consists of 1-3 sessions, each 1 month apart. You will see a marked improvement as the sessions progress but the entire treatment course must be completed for the specified area in order to achieve the intended results.

Profhilo results can last for up to 6 months, with repeat treatments carried out every 3 months for optimum results.

How does Profhilo work?

Profhilo is made of hyaluronic acid, a potent moisturising factor naturally found in skin, muscle and joints. Its ability to draw 1000 times its own weight in water into the skin makes it ideal for binding and retaining water molecules, hydrating the skin from within to leave it fresh and radiant.

We all naturally produce and break down hyaluronic acid every day, but as we age, the process gets a little sluggish. Profhilo is injected at 5 points on each side of the face and spreads evenly throughout the layers of the skin drawing water along the way. This approach plumps the skin and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles whilst boosting the skin’s radiance and dewiness – delivering a long-lasting serum-type effect, but without the serum.

What is the difference between Profhilo and Dermal Fillers?

Whilst traditional dermal fillers also contain hyaluronic acid, the key difference between the two treatments is that Profhilo doesn’t add volume or change the structure of the face. Dermal fillers are used to augment a specific area via a lifting and volumising effect.

Profhilo contains a form of hyaluronic acid that is produced in a different way from traditional methods, allowing the hyaluronic acid to disperse evenly throughout the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, giving the skin a beautiful hydrated and refreshed appearance. This can be used in conjunction with dermal fillers to add volume and structure whilst improving the overall quality of the skin.
